Which electricity company handles your connection
Madhya Pradesh has three DISCOMs. Your net meter and inspection are done by the one on your bill: MPPKVVCL (west — Indore and Ujjain divisions, including Neemuch, Mandsaur and Ratlam), MPMKVVCL (central — Bhopal and Gwalior regions) or MPPoKVVCL (east — Jabalpur region). We file the commissioning request; the DISCOM inspects and fits the bi-directional net meter.
Subsidy credited
After commissioning is confirmed on the portal, the subsidy is paid directly into your bank account.

How much is the PM Surya Ghar subsidy in Madhya Pradesh?
The central subsidy is ₹30,000 for a 1 kW system, ₹60,000 for 2 kW and ₹78,000 for 3 kW or more (the maximum). It is the same across India and is paid into your bank account after net metering. Confirm the current rates on pmsuryaghar.gov.in.
Is the subsidy available for shops or factories?
No. PM Surya Ghar is for residential homes. Shops, factories and institutions instead get net metering plus accelerated depreciation and GST input-tax-credit benefits — see our commercial solar service.
Can I apply after the panels are installed?
No. You must register on the portal and choose your vendor before installation starts, otherwise the subsidy is not paid. We do the registration with you at the start.
What documents do I need?
Your latest electricity bill (consumer number), Aadhaar, a mobile number linked to Aadhaar, and bank account details for the subsidy. We guide you through the rest.
How long does it take?
Installation itself is usually a day or two. The full process — DISCOM inspection, net meter and subsidy credit — typically takes a few weeks to a couple of months, mostly waiting on the DISCOM. We follow it up for you.
